2006 Ehlers Est=
ate
St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2006 vintage started with a relatively wet
spring. In July, we saw a dramatic stretch of 100ºF plus days.
Fortunately, the berries were still only small, green and hard and the heat
spike had little to no effect on wine quality. Temperatures during the harv=
est
months were ideal, resulting in a long, cool end to the growing season.

Tasting Notes:
Driven by intense, dark fruit, our 2006 cabernet
sauvignon displays decadent aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and mocha, w=
ith
subtle, supporting accents of tobacco and nutmeg. A full body and fine, vel=
vety
tannins round out this elegant yet approachable cabernet.length to this
wine’s delicious Kirsch, blackberry liqueur and chocolate flavors.
Finally, crisp, wet tannins from the unusually intense Petit Verdot bring t=
he
wine to a clean finish with cassis and espresso notes.
